Life comes full circle for the Caledon artist, Lorraine Roberts. Growing up painting, drawing and studying all styles of art, Lorraine instead went on to a successful career in music for 22 years. Her interest in gardening later led to the creation of the award-winning botanical garden and organic perennial nursery, Plant Paradise Country Gardens.
This past January Lorraine took up pastel painting and has not looked back. She has been painting botanically inspired landscapes, commissions for both pet portraits and landscapes. “My past music and botanical careers have fused together to inspire new impressionist art creations. I love the luminous quality of soft pastels which captures the light and colour of the moment with vibrancy.” Lorraine has recently exhibited her art at local art shows and was accepted into the ArtWorks Oakville 22nd Annual Juried Show 2022.
Lorraine will be opening her first solo Art Show & Sale, Saturday October 22, 10:00am-3:00pm and Sunday October 23, 10:00am-2:00pm at Plant Paradise Country Gardens in Caledon where her pastel paintings will be on display. Free admission

The pastel painting by Lorraine Roberts, Over the Hills and Beyond, was accepted into the ArtWorks Oakville 22nd Annual Juried Show 2022 which runs October 22 until November 11 in the gallery at the Queen Elizabeth Community and Cultural Centre in Oakville.
The gallery is open October 23 until November 11 every day between 12:00pm-6:00pm.
All are welcome.
